Art As Ritual

Doug Pearsall is a mixed media artist residing in Southern California. His motto: Art as Ritual reflects his desire to make work that connects him to both his African and American cultural heritages. He believes that through ritual, artifacts come to life, integrated into community ceremony & spectacle.

His works have appeared at the California African American Museum, Loft at Liz’s, William Grant Still Arts Center, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, Torrance Art Museum, TAG Gallery, the Los Angeles County Fair/ Millard Sheets Gallery and the LA DCA African American Heritage Month Calendar. s
